LibreOffice 7.4 Beta1 is available for testing
The LibreOffice Quality Assurance ( QA ) Team is happy to announce LibreOffice 7.4 Beta1 is available for testing!
LibreOffice 7.4 will be released as final in mid August, 2022 ( Check the Release Plan for more information ) being LibreOffice 7.4 Beta1 the second pre-release since the development of version 7.4 started at the end of November, 2021. Since the previous release, LibreOffice 7.4 Alpha1, 920 commits have been submitted to the code repository and 220 issues got fixed. Check the release notes to find the new features included in this version of LibreOffice.
LibreOffice 7.4 Beta1 can be downloaded from here for Linux, macOS and Windows, and it can be installed alongside the standard version.
In case you find any problem in this pre-release, please report it in Bugzilla ( You just need a legit email account in order to create a new account ).

Please, please, please, no one saw it for the last decade or more:
In Portuguese language we have the word “fora” meaning “out”, or “outside”. Every time we type “fora” in LibreOffice, even using automatic corrections and dictionaries set for PT or PT-BR then LibreOffice “thinks” we are trying to type “for a”, with a blank space before the letter “a” – and, in a blink of the eyes, “fora” turns to “for a”.
I guess this “ancient AI” built-in LibreOffice version 0.0000000000001 beta remained until 2022 and no one noted, since the time when C++, COBOL and FORTRAN developers used to appeal to LibreOffice as their IDEs, their SDKs, so it was one of the first “autocomplete” in software history, back in the cave.

You have to get rid of that autocorrect option from the English spellchecker. In Italian, my language, I have to get rid of the autocorrect option which changes “i” (an Italian article) into “I” (an English pronoun), and then everything works as expected.
microsoft office theme If you make a theme similar to Microsoft Office application, the number of users will increase. WPS Office application reached more users using this method. But it would be nice to have such a method in the open source community.. please use MS Office design by defaultadd please.
